Book Overview

It is poetry all along. Even the introduction is in verse! We have here a restoration and celebration of the felicity of beloved rhyme, rapidly sinking into oblivion in obedience to the fragmented nature of the modern condition. The pattern builds up naturally and the poem winds up effortlessly. This is a poetic romance of a lively kind. The ease and facility with a wide range of apt vocabulary items that faithfully serve to express the myriad moods and responses to multiple stimuli are a delight to follow. And, there are the beautiful illustrations that accompany the poems and appeal to the eyes as the words speak to the mind. The themes are as varied as they are compelling. -Excerpt from the Foreword of the book by the former education minister, Hon'ble Thakur S Powdyel

Four stars to this anthology expecting the best works yet from the poet. Unadulterated by the complexities of form and style or by the need to impress with use of ornate words, the anthology is a pleasurable read. The beauty is apparent in the honest and effortless flow of each poem.
